Wednesday’s Weekly [9] (Week 13, 2012)

Well hello there. Remember me? I’m the one who usually writes this blog, but doesn’t do it very regularly, so you might’ve forgotten about me. Well, I haven’t forgotten about you, not in the slightest. I just had to lock myself up, away from my computer in order to study for my exam yesterday. But now, I have all the time in the world to write again, and that’s just the thing I’ll be doing. So hold on tight, because there’s another wednesday’s weekly coming up! Last wednesday, I was...

The Fourth Power: Media’s Role in Politics

Let’s go for something different now, a change of pace. Something serious. Being a Political Science major, I (have to) read a lot of political themed literature. Not all of them are easy to read through, especially the older works from the likes of Hobbes and Locke are quite hard to read if you are not a native english speaker. I imagine that even people who do have english as their first language, find it hard to understand what is written down by these enlightened philosophers. But what I do understand,...

Welcome, 5000th visitor. 0

Welcome, 5000th visitor.

Yesterday, at about 23:00h, saw the 5000th visit to my webpage. I don’t know who you are, and you probably don’t know you where the 5000th, but I both want to congratulate you and thank you. You know, for visiting my site. I shall post some statistics on my view count. You know, because statistics rule. That, and I have to be able to do this for my exam next tuesday, so this’ll be a fun way not to study.

Wednesday’s Weekly [8] (Week 12, 2012)

Time is still flying as it is wednesday already. Can you imagine that? The week litteraly seemed to fly by, as did the weeks before that. What might be helping, is the awesome weather we’re having over here. Yeah, it’s awesome. Today’s temperature is 15 degrees Celsius, tomorrow’s will be 18. 18! Funny as it is, if it were autumn, we would be dissappointed by these temperatures. But not now, not in springtime! I’m going to spend tomorrow bathing in sunlight, basking in the glory of this beautiful early spring. Oh...

Android: Five free Apps I need 0

Android: Five free Apps I need

My cellphone is getting really old. The HTC HD2 I have came stock with Windows Mobile 6.5. It seemed a safe choice back then, Android was still up and coming and I didn’t know a lot about it. Windows Mobile 6.5 was getting old, but at least it didn’t have any bugs anymore, so I reasoned. I decided to get it, especially because Windows Phone 7 had been announced, and there were rumors about an update coming for the HTC. Boy, was I wrong. It broke down twice. Luckily, I...

Music to relax to 2

Music to relax to

I’m sitting here, behind my desk, trying to write an essay and a presentation. I’ve been sitting here all day long. I’m currently getting one of my infamous headaches. I’m not going to bitch about it, popped some aspirin, and I’m currently waiting for them to kick in. Meanwhile, I’m quietly listening to some relaxing tracks to pass the time. Then I thought, why not share these songs? I’m going to post three songs after the jump, which are really worth listening to. So be sure to ‘continue reading’. As...

Wednesday’s Weekly [7] (Week 11, 2012)

Is it wednesday already? Geez. And only one post this last week? Come on, Felix, keep it together. Now to leave the internal monologue in my head, I’ll discuss what’s up in the following entry. But first, look at the new features on the blog! Aren’t they pretty? It took a lot of finetuning to get it right, but I think that effort has paid off. A new header, and a menu on top of it, with a fancy drop-down thingy. I mean, wow. Ain’t that some shit. It almost...

Here comes the sun. 1

Here comes the sun.

it is advised you listen to this while reading this post. Today, I woke up to a clear blue sky. Since I had to write an essay today, for which I had to read two articles, I thought it was a great idea to read while sitting in the sun. So, I went to my garden (garden might be exaggerated, garbage dump might be more befitting) and took a seat. The sun was lovely, luckily I had my wayfarer on as to not blind my eyes on the pages in...

Wednesday’s Weekly [6] (Week 10, 2012)

I’m sorry, I’m gonna keep this really short. I have a majestic headache that isn’t going away after taking painkillers. It started out yesterday evening and it is still going on strong. Even looking at my screen hurts my head, ergo, I’ll keep this short. Due to the headache, this day hasn’t been really great. I had class this morning which was torturing. Between classes, I bought myself some new ‘nespresso-cups’, because I had run out. I paid about 20€ for 60 cups. Not bad, if I might say so.
