Is HBO Just Shitting out these Great Series?

Game of Thrones has only just started its second season, but HBO is already filling the gap after the season’s finale. Enter ‘The Newsroom’, a politically themed drama about a news anchor snapping, and trying to make a change. At least, that’s what this trailer above is trying to make me believe. The series features Jeff Daniels (Dumb & Dumber) as Will McAvoy, the news anchor in question, and his producer Mackenzie MacHale (Emily Mortimer, as known from ‘Shutter Island’ and ‘Hugo’).

I’m looking forward to see the series’ first appearance on HBO, which is dated Sunday, June 24th. I guess it’ll take Game of Thrones’ spot as Game of Thrones season ending is to be featured on June 3rd. So far, seven episodes of ‘The Newsroom’ have been made. It is created by Aaron Sorkin, which name might ring a bell: he’s the Academy Award winner for writing ‘The Social Network’, last year’s Facebook-inspired box-office hit.

So, mark June 24th in your agenda’s, this is going to be great, I tell you.
