Faction Dancer:1 || Ferrari 296 GT3 Custom Livery
Besides simracing and making liveries, I have other hobbies. Last month, I unveiled a livery which was meant as a crossover between one of those hobbies and liveries: the CANYON Mercedes AMG GT3 2020. And now it’s time for the second one in this unofficial series: the Faction Dancer:1 Ferrari 296 GT3.
Whereas the previous livery was themed around cycling, this one takes inspiration from my favorite activity: skiing.
I (used to) go skiing every winter. Mainly in Austria, but I’ve also been to Italy, France, and Switzerland. As such, I decided to buy new ski’s 2 years ago. Due to life circumstances, I was unable to go on a skiing holiday 2 years in a row now. Which means that I have only been able to look at my ski’s (pictured below) instead of using them.
Since I’m a sucker for good graphic design, I can’t say I didn’t buy them because I didn’t like the looks of them. I love how they look. I hope they ski nicely as well. But for now they form a great source of inspiration for the livery in this post! Not just the top design, but the iron edge and black underside as well.
Like the Canyon Mercedes before this one, I complemented the base design with logos from brands I use while skiing. Garmin for stat tracking, Strava for stat sharing. Oakley helmet and goggles, Peak Performance jacket, Reusch gloves, etc.
