McLaren MCL-HY Test livery || McLaren 720S GT3 Evo Custom Livery
McLaren will be joining the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2027 with their first hypercar: the aptly named McLaren MCL-HY. But before they can enter the car in competition, it needs to be thoroughly tested. Most often, this means that a manufacturer is able to create a testing livery free from any sponsor constraints.
And that is exactly what McLaren did, as seen below.

McLaren gave their youngest a papaya-coloured body. Its details pay homage to the McLaren M6A, which drove in the 1967 Can-Am series (above, pictured behind). The M6A was supposed to be turned into the M6GT, which would’ve entered Le Mans’ group 4 class at the time.
However, Bruce McLaren’s untimely death meant that the project was shelved indefinitely. You can read more about the history on McLaren’s article.
I tried my best to wrap the simple, yet elegant livery around the body of the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo. This papaya-clad GT3 car can be seen in the video above or in the screenshots below. Check below as well for a link to the (free) download!
