McLaren MCL40 Silverstone Livery || McLaren 720S GT3 Evo Custom Livery

After winning both the Formula 1 World Driver’s Championship and the World Constructor’s Championship with the McLaren MCL39, McLaren so far haven’t been able to replicate the performance with this year’s new regulations.

McLaren is still battling Red Bull. But unlike last year, they are battling comfortably behind Mercedes and Ferrari to pick up a few scraps as the 3rd or 4th team performance-wise.

That, however, does not stop McLaren from celebrating 60 years as a manufacturer in Formula 1. Back in 1966, McLaren debuted the McLaren M2B, the first McLaren to be entered into Formula 1. To celebrate, McLaren brought a one-off livery to this year’s British Grand Prix based on the M2B’s colour scheme, as pictured below.

The livery features a pearly white base, with a green stripe along the nose. The green stripe is adorned with a metallic silver lining, all accompanied by McLaren’s sponsors.

Ofcourse, I had to make a tribute to this tribute livery. I tried my best to wrap the simple, yet elegant livery around the body of the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo. This GT3 car can be seen in the video above or in the screenshots below. Check below as well for a link to the (free) download!
