United Autosports LM24h 2025 || McLaren 720S GT3 Evo Custom Livery

It’s Race Week. Not for the GT World Challenge. Not for Formula 1. No, this weekend will be the 93rd running of the 24 Heures du Mans, or more colloquially known as the 24 hours of Le Mans.

Arguably, ‘Le Mans’ is the biggest single race in the world. While it’s part of the World Endurance Championship (WEC), it’s much bigger than the championship it’s a part of. Ask any casual racing fan if they want to watch a 24-hour WEC race, and they’ll laugh in your face. Ask them again if they’d watch Le Mans and they’d ask you where to watch it.

And because it is such a big and well-known event, many teams aim to impress with a fresh new livery. Which can be a nice source of inspiration. Like this particular livery!

For the 2025 Le Mans, United Autosports has created a special livery to raise awareness for meningitis. Which is apparently resurfacing as a major health threat in the wake of COVID-19. You can read more about the background here.

The resulting livery is, at first glance, not the prettiest. The colours don’t match. The shapes don’t match. The logos look out of place. The fonts clash. And yet, I’m weirdly attracted to it. So much so that I took it upon myself to recreate it. And so here I am, just in time before the race so this is still topical.
