Wallpapers pt. 4: Five more ACC-screenshots enhanced!

It’s been a while since I did one of my screenshot collections. While there was a time earlier this year I kept hammering out editted screenshots (part 1, part 2 and part 3), I didn’t stop making them. They were just less frequent. Now though, I’ve collected five more enhanced wallpapers I find worthy of posting the before and after edits of.

Clicking the before and after links below the pictures opens the high-res, Imgur-hosted versions. I hope you like them!

Battle at Misano

Before
After

This one is taken from one of MrGit’s 2.4 hour races, at Misano. It shows me, in the Mercedes, getting overtaken by Chris Hoeke in his ROWE Porsche. It features added zoom blur, gradients, lens flares and film grain.

Brothers

Before
After

This one I made to celebrate the release of the GT4 DLC. It was more of a coordinated effort than the one above. I asked my friend Toby to create a GT3 Aston in the same colourscheme as my GT4 Aston and to drive alongside me. Among the edits made to this picture are added film grain, reduced contrast, and a swapped out skybox with more dramatic clouds.

Glitch

Before
After

This is one of the more dramatic edits I did. Taken at Bathurst, just before the big dipper, I wanted this picture to resemble a glitching black-and-white VHS tape. It required some messing with the composition, and a lot of other edits big and small.

Orange Lions

Before
After

A couple of months ago, a group of Dutch drivers I had been racing with through MrGit’s races asked me to join their little alliance, the ‘Orange Lions’ for a coordinated effort to tackle a 2.4 hours race at Zandvoort. I took this shot in order to create some hype ahead of the race. Among the edits are a swapped skybox with typical Dutch clouds, some added depth of field, a color balance shift and some film grain.

Outbreaking Mastodonts

Before
After

This shot (and subsequent edit) was made yesterday. Taken from another of MrGit’s 2.4 hour races (this one at Paul Ricard), the title refers to the size and weight of the Lexus. This car just doesn’t want to stop. I personally really like the aggressiveness of the edit, with the sharp lighting provided partly by a car driving closely behind on his heighbeams. I added some filmgrain and did a bit more highlighting of certain areas.
