ZWO Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 || ACC Custom Livery
The cool thing about making custom liveries is that you come across loads of people from different backgrounds who have at least one thing in common: they love simracing. But, most people have more than one dimension. This means they have other hobbies as well. Hobbies that I myself have next to no experience with. Hobbies like astrophotography.
Don’t get me wrong. I like stargazing. I love photography. But I’ve never put the two together. So when I got commissioned to make a livery inspired by the night sky featuring brands I had never heard of, I did a little digging. It turns out, for instance, that ZWO is the biggest manufacturer of astrophotography cameras and lenses.
Who knew? I certainly didn’t.
Next to a new world opening for me, it also made me create one of the liveries I am most proud of. Both in terms of complexity and quality. While making this livery, I learned new techniques in Illustrator causing me to have become a better livery designer in the process. Or at least, I think I am.
