Quertreiber Ferrari 296 GT3 || ACC Custom Livery

I like a challenge. I think it brings out the most creative results. This particular challenge wanted me to combine two bright neon colours (green and blue) on a white background. And an angular design, without curves.

The colours themselves weren’t a problem, until I started to combine the two and noticed that there wasn’t any contrast between the two. The two colours blended together. To combat this, I built a ruleset: green would only be on top of blue, and green would cast a shadow on blue. This created not only a bit of depth on the livery, but also a clear divide between the colours.

For the design, I felt inspired by an earlier name for the livery. The person requesting the commission originally asked for the team name to be Zapto Racing. This inspired me to make it look as though a lightningbolt was moving along the car from front to back. But just as I had finished the livery, it got changed to Quertreiber.

Any German speaker would probably be giggling at this point, as Quertreiber translates to Troublemaker.
