Sparklefarts Ford Mustang GT3 || ACC Custom Livery

Now here’s something entirely different!

My first-time working on the new Ford Mustang GT3 car for Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC), and it really stands out. And no, this is not an original design. For those of you unfamiliar with the source material (like I was before behind handed this commission), there’s a great write-up on Sportscar365 behind the history of this remarkable livery: the Flying Lizard “Sparklefarts”, as pictured below.

The short version of this story is that the North American Lamborghini Supertrofeo driver Slade Stewart lets his children decide on what his car should look like, and this Unicorn design (later branded Sparklefarts) was his daughter’s choice. The livery proved to be very popular with fans after introduction in 2022, so much so that it was brought back for the 2023 season. And now again in 2024.

Remaking this livery proved quite a challenge. Not just the recreation of the 2D Unicorn artwork or the recreation of the Flying Lizard logo, for which I could find no vector. Or the Sparklefarts shield. The most experimental thing was trying to get the sparkling effect on the livery. And I think I got close enough to call it a success. Scroll down to see if you agree!
