BWT Lechner Racing BMW M4 GT3 || ACC Custom Livery
We’ve talked about staples of racing on my page before. Widely recognizable liveries, even by the casual racing fan. The orangered chevrons of the Mclarens of the 80’s and early 90’s. The John Player Special Lotusses. The Martini liveries of Brabham, Porsche, and Williams. And, in my opinion, the pink liveries of BWT-sponsored cars are a modern addition to that line-up!
Perhaps the most well-known iterations of this livery were found on the Force India’s and Racing Points of 2017 to 2020. BWT nowadays (from 2022) still features on the Alpine F1 Team in a lesser capacity but with some more prominently featured special editions of the BWT sponsorship at some races.
But, to me and perhaps to many racing enthusiasts, the pink/blue BWT livery is best known for the Porsche Supercup. And it’s this racing class’ most recent iteration of the livery (as pictured below) upon which this livery is featured.
So it’s no surprise that I would get a request to make this livery for a car in Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC). But what did surprise me was the car they wanted me to make this for. Or should I say cars (plural) since this livery is part of a set of 2. Which other car, besides this BMW you ask? You’ll have to come back for the answer, or follow me on Youtube or Instagram to receive the answer neatly into your feed! Spoiler alert: it is no Porsche.
