2024 Formula E Porsche 992 GT3 R || ACC Custom Livery
When Formula E transitioned from their Gen 2.5 car to their new Gen 3 car with the start of the 2023 season, Porsche replaced their iconic livery. The livery they had worn since their entry into Formula E. Whereas the old livery was very straightforward and yet very beautiful (to me, at least), the new one was a lot more complicated.
I made their old livery for a number of cars. The first one I did was a version based on their 2021 iteration for the Porsche 991 II GT3 R. I updated this livery for the 2022 season with a slightly revised sponsor layout. This version of the livery was requested to be ported to the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo and later to the Ferrari 296 GT3, which I have not published yet.
Making their new livery was on my longlist of liveries I wanted to make before my commissions blew up. Because it is quite a detailed design with lots of different elements, I didn’t find the time to make it. That is, until I was commissioned to make it!
At the start I was pretty intimidated to make this livery due to its intricacy, but in the end it was not as hard to make as expected. I did take some creative liberties in order to accommodate the GT3 body, but I am confident the end result is close enough to the original!
