LSM Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 || ACC Custom Livery
When making commissions, it is not about what the creator likes, it is about what the customer likes. And this customer had a skateboard deck with a skull design they wanted me to feature prominently on the livery. And that is exactly what I did, even if it wouldn’t be my personal choice. With the same love and care I make all my liveries.
However, before I could do so, I had to recreate a usable version of the design to feature on the car. Luckily, I’ve become pretty handy in making 2D art while making illustrations, something I used to do before my free time was usurped by these custom liveries.
I think I did a pretty decent job, at least good enough so that it looks near identical on a moving car. Look at the pictures below to see for yourself;
But with just a skull, the car remains rather empty. Unfortunately, there weren’t many other elements in the design brief save for a couple of logos (LSM Racing, SRH) and a slogan (DIE or GO). Furthermore, they wanted a black car with red detailing.
There wasn’t much I could do, but I am still happy with the quality of the end result. I like the matte and gloss black finishes and my own additions of the glossy stars. This is why I’m still publishing this livery here. I might not like the look of it, but I’m still happy with the end result.
And more importantly: so is my customer! They even uploaded their own video showcasing the livery to their own Youtube channel! And, they just contacted me to make a port of this livery as well.
