Vanwall Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo || ACC Custom Livery

Ah, Colin Kolles (born Călin Colesnic). The man is turning out to be one of my favourite memes in the racing world. After years of managing or advising backmarker teams in Formula 1, he’s had multiple attempts at building and running a car in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). First under the ByKolles moniker, later adopting the legendary Vanwall name.

Whereas the performance of the ByKolles cars has always been rather dreadful. They seemed to want to turn a new leaf by building their own Hypercar. They took the name ‘Vanwall’ (based on the historic Formula 1 team) to try to rebrand themselves. The good news for the team ended there, however, as this name change got them into legal trouble. They were excluded from the 2022 WEC season. The FIA forced them to resolve their legal issues before they would allow them entry into the WEC.

2023 was going to be the big year for ByKolles/Vanwall. They even announced a road-going car; the Vandervell S. And they signed, among others, former F1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve for their Le Mans entry. But by the end of 2023, Vanwall is kicked from WEC contention again due to poor performance.

Their immediate future at the time of writing is unclear.

Could this be the end of ByKolles/Vanwall?

Well, not if it is up to me! Or at least, the person who requested I make a custom Vanwall livery. For this Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo, I made two versions, both the regular livery with white details and sponsors, and the Le Mans 24H special livery with gold-coloured details and sponsors.
