ROKiT Venturi Racing – ACC Custom Livery

With the second race of season 8 of Formula E fast approaching, it’s time to unveil the second ACC custom livery recreation for my ACC x FE custom livery series. After last week’s Nissan e.dams livery, it is now time to present to you the ROKiT Venturi Racing livery, tailor-made for the 2020 Mercedes AMG GT3 EVO!

ROKiT Venturi Racing

The ROKiT Venturi Racing Formula E car features a near all-black livery for the 2021/2022 season. Large parts of the car of the Monegasque team are actually bare carbon instead of black. The big ROKiT logo on the sides offers a stark contrast with the otherwise dark-as-night livery.

The base carbon in ACC is unfortunately too light to emulate the above livery properly. I solved this by making an all-black decals.png sublayer which I set to be semi-transparent. By fiddling with the paint values, I made sure the light reflection made it look like realistic carbon again: not too matte, not too shiny.

Due to an unfortunate racing number plate placement on the middle of the side of the car, I had to puzzle a bit on how to place the ROKiT-logo. I decided to have it on diagonally. From there, it was smooth sailing. You can see the result for yourself below!

To showcase the livery a bit better, I took the car to Monza to get some pictures. The results of which can be seen below!
