Team Salzburg Porsche 992 GT3 || ACC Custom Livery

Sometimes, you need a palate cleanser. Something which takes you out of the everyday madness. Something quick, something fun. For me, that was this livery.

I’ve been making so many commissions nowadays, that I have needed to turn quite a few down. The pressure of delivering an original livery in a timely manner can be stressful, especially for someone so ill-equipped to deal with stress. Thanks for that, ADHD.

So, in between working on commissions, I sometimes have a side project, which is more of a passion project. Recent examples of these were this Tyrrell P34 McLaren and this Jota Hertz 992. These are mimics of real-world racing cars, and also quite a bit more easy to make than some of my more recent commissions.

Well, my newest palate cleansing passion project is a conversion of the iconic Team Salzburg livery, made famous by the Porsche 917K livery of the 1970 Le Mans winning car, as pictured below.

A simple yet elegant design, featuring a largely red and white livery. A livery I wanted to preserve, while also converting to a a design which might as well have been used by Porsche today. So I added a few of their (Porsche’s) regular sponsors (BOSS, TAG Heuer, Puma, but not Mobil1 since it would clash with Shell) and updated a few logos to their current versions (Bosch, Shell). And I adapted the design to fit the modern body of the Porsche 992 GT3.
