Tyrrell P34 McLaren 720S GT3 || ACC Custom Livery

One of my previous commission requests was done by Tim. Tim wanted me to make a livery for the McLaren 720S GT3 based on the Tyrrell P34. The history buffs among us know that the Tyrrell P34, which was entered into the 1976 and 1977 Formula 1 seasons, has had 2 different liveries in its history. First, there was a blue/yellow ELF livery. Then, in 1977, there was the First National livery. Both are great liveries, if I say so myself.

Ultimately and after a bit of consideration, Tim decided to commission me to make the First National livery, which you can find here. Tim was happy with it, and so was I.

But on the other hand, Tim had put some Inception-level shit into my mind. Ever since February, I was hoping Tim would come back and commission me to make the other P34 livery.

He didn’t, so I made it anyway. Free of charge, just to get it out of my system.

It wasn’t even that much work, since I had most of the sponsor logos already from the previous Tyrrell livery. The hardest part was getting the colours to look right, compared to the original. But I think I got very close in that regard!

The final result can be seen in the video above or the screenshots below. Do you want to download and use the final livery? Feel free to do so by clicking the big red bar below which leads you to my shared google drive.

Tyrrell P34 livery Studio Shots

#3, driven by Jody Scheckter

I’ve seen pictures of this car with #3, #4 and #5. However, both #3 and #5 were driven by Scheckter. I have no idea what the deal was and at this point I’m too afraid to even ask. So, this livery has not 1, but 2 alternate versions, as seen below;

#4, driven by Patrick Depailler
#5, driven by Jody Scheckter, again.

And what better way to show off a classic British livery than one a classic British circuit (Brands Hatch) in classic British summer weather (monsoon)? Have some screenshots, ya jammy bastard.
