West McLaren F1 720S GT3 Evo || ACC Custom Livery
In the past, I was commissioned to make two liveries based on the West McLarens of the late 90s and early 00s. The only problem was: neither of those was for a McLaren. Namely, a West McLaren Aston Martin and a West McLaren Porsche. When you make liveries on commission, you often can’t choose which cars you put which liveries on. This means I had to make these two liveries, which were pretty much equivalent to blasphemy to me!
Fortunately for me and my OCDs, the person who originally requested the West McLaren Aston Martin and West McLaren Porsche commissions returned for another round. And this time, it was for a West McLaren McLaren. The new 720S GT3 evo to be exact!
Whereas for the previous West liveries I largely took inspiration from the 1999 McLaren MP4/14, for this one I switched it up and took the 2003 McLaren MP4-18 as a source of inspiration. While very similar, the biggest difference is in the different sponsor logos and the placement of the orange streak on the nose.
