Design: Pegasole Splash

Last year, I made a design based on my running shoe’s sole design. I really liked the design, but I also thought it was a little bit bland. I thought I could do better. So, recently, I took said design and updated it. The result of which can be seen in this post, and ordered on my Redbubble storefront!
For this design, I felt inspired by Nike Sportswear’s 2021 Tee Futura, pictured below. I really liked the Synthwave or Retrowave colour scheme of the logo on the black shirt. Unfortunately, I don’t like black tee’s – I prefer dark blue.

So, I bought the white one. In fact, as I am writing this up, I am wearing the white shirt. I still wanted to have a similar colour scheme on a dark blue shirt. So, a few months ago, I decided to make my own.
I took a few graphical artefacts, some halftone and some colour gradients, and added my Pegasole design in negative space. Et, voila!
The Design (Green/Yellow)

The design (should, at least) resemble the print a running shoe makes after stepping in a puddle of mud. At least, that’s what I was going for anyway.
Since I already had this design made, I opted to make some variants, as seen below.
Colour Variations
The Redbubble shirt
This isn’t everything: since I wanted a dark blue shirt like this, I went ahead and ordered myself one from Redbubble. I ordered the Active T-shirt with the Green/Yellow (Grello) design on May 27th. It was delivered on June 7th.
What I got was a quality T-shirt, great for sporting activities. I’ve been wearing it while running and going to the gym. The print looks good and holds up very well even after continuous laundry cycles.

With my 190cm and relatively long upper body, I ordered size L and it’s a great fit. I’m very happy with how this turned out. If you have any questions regarding the quality of the shirt, feel free to drop me a question in the comments below!

[…] Let me know what you think in the comments below. If you’d rather see it in a different colour, I might be able to make a variant (and upload it to Redbubble). If you want to know more about the quality of Redbubble’s products, I bought and reviewed a previous design of mine. You can read my experiences here. […]
