Design: Niki Lauda’s 1984 helmet
Niki Lauda is perhaps among the top three of the most famous drivers F1 has had, next to Schumacher and Senna. The Austrian driver entered Formula 1 in 1971 and had his last season in 1985. Not only is he known for the three world titles he achieved during his career and being the only one doing so with both Ferrari and McLaren, he is probably best remembered by his horrible crash at the Nürburgring which left most of his face with third degree burns. The title challenge between him...

Design: Alonso’s McLaren Andretti Honda Indycar
I took a break from drawing Ferrari’s, but not from drawing thoroughbred racing cars. After the retro Ferrari 641 (F1) and Ferrari 333SP (Le Mans), we jump to the other side of the Atlantic, and to Ferrari’s long time rivals: McLaren. With Alonso’s shock announcement that he will be driving the Indy 500 this year for a new McLaren entry (in cooperation with Andretti Racing), powered by Honda. McLaren driving the Indy 500 is one with historic significance, as they took part ~50 years ago as well, before they decided...

You can see the full design, in all its glory, after the jump – as well as some examples of products you can buy this design on. Let me know what you think by either rating this post, or commenting – so I know what direction to go in in the future!

Six Alternative ways to read the Dutch elections and their results
On March 15th, Rousseau would’ve said the Dutch experienced ‘true freedom’ as they went to the polling stations to cast their vote and elect a new parliament. This particular election generated a lot of foreign interest, after the Brexit-referendum and US presidential election were surprisingly decided in favor of populist rhetoric centered around fear-mongering and xenophobia. When the Dutch polls closed, and Ipsos posted its exit-poll (generated by asking voters outside selected polling stations what they had just voted), it became clear the ‘populist uprising’ had come to a halt. Around...
Design: 90’s F1 Cartoon Cars – Purchaseable on RedBubble
After my earlier unexpected overnight success (about which you can read all about here) I wanted to press on and do more drawings using Illustrator. I first tried my hand at something realistic looking, but soon noticed I had not yet gained the experience needed in order to complete said design to a satisfactory level, so progress on that project slowly came to a halt. Suddenly, I found myself wondering what to do. However, not long after, I scribbled something on paper which soon gave me an excellent idea, and so...
