ACC livery showcase #01: ten of the best!

Now that Kunos have made it easier to create your own ACC livery, a lot more people have jumped at the opportunity to create more liveries themselves. I myself have found that this is coupled with a huge spike in traffic to my website. I thought of a way to further help my readers in creating or finding the right livery for them. My conclusion: create a showcase of some of the best liveries out there created by you, the community. Not just for inspiration, but also available to download...

I am a streamer now. I stream videogames.

I don’t know when it started. I do know how it started. But somewhere along the line, I became a videogame streamer. Not professionally ofcourse, that would require me to play different games like Dota, League of Legends or *shivers* Fortnite. No, I stream Assetto Corsa Competizione, a game which has stolen my heart almost a year ago to date. You can find my Twitch channel HERE. Read a little Q&A below: Q: WHY?! A: Because I like it. I like talking to people while I’m racing because, especially in...

Video: MrGit’s ACC League Round 6 – Zolder

Another week, another race in MrGit’s ACC League. Last sunday, I had to race home in order to make it in time for free practice. I didn’t have much practice, which might negatively affect me at the start. Without much further ado, here’s the video; The first qualifying session was a bit of a bust, with a seventh spot. The second was a whole lot better, with a second spot reserved for the grey/orange beast.  The first race started well. I got up to sixth and was preparing a defence...

Video: MrGit’s ACC League Round 5 – Misano

After a couple of weeks without racing (of which one was planned), MrGit@Twitch’s ACC League is BACK. This time, the circus went to Italy for round 5 of the league for a double header sprint race at Misano. See the video below! Results: Qualifying 1: 2nd, 1:35.037 Qualifying 2: 1st, 1:34.692 Race 1: 2nd Race 2: 1st Not only did I achieve my first victory, I also got my first pole for race 2. As a bug, the game took the Q1 results for the race 2 starting grid so...

Blancpain at Zandvoort: report, gallery and aftermovie.

On the weekend of the 12th to 14th of July (2019), the Blancpain travelling circus hit Zandvoort. Since I’ve been heavily investing my time in Assetto Corsa Competizione (which features the official Blancpain licensed cars) I thought it would be nice to visit a real race for once. I’ve visited Zandvoort once before, but I had never watched a race, never felt the roar of the engines pass through my stomach. All that changed on sunday the 14th of July. See/read below for my experiences! Lamborghini Supertrofeo Together with a...

Video: MrGit’s ACC League Round 2 – Brands Hatch

This week, I was preparing for round 5 of MrGit’s ACC league. Sadly, it got cancelled for an as of yet unknown reason. This doesn’t mean I can’t do a highlights video, no. I hadn’t made any video’s for the first two races, Monza and Brands Hatch. Well, make that only the first race now, as I present to you my highlights video for the Brands Hatch race. This race consisted of two qualifying sessions first, followed by two 30 minutes races. My results for qualifying: Q1: 9th, 1:24.174 Q2:...

Video: MrGit’s ACC League Round 4 – Paul Ricard

After last week’s race and subsequent video from the 90 minute race on Silverstone, I couldn’t resist creating another one. This time around, the circus landed in the south of France for a race around the famous Paul Ricard circuit. Featuring a decent drive from 8th on the grid, to 6th at the finish line. This race was quite tame for me, but I did get a lot of enjoyment out of slowly catching up to the #6 for 45 minutes and to overtake him three minutes before the end...

Video: MrGit’s ACC League Round 3 – Silverstone

I’ve been league racing in MrGit@Twitch’s ACC League for quite a while now, and it is quickly becoming the highlight of my week. Not only am I racing against people on my level, they take the racing seriously too. No incessant crashing, but close and competitive racing. Awesome! Here’s the video of most of my highlights. Most, since ACC can only save 60 minutes of video and this race was a whopping 90 minutes long! For more information, you can go to MrGit’s website or follow him on Twitch.tv!

Tool: Assetto Corsa’s Setup Tips

I’ve found that setting up cars in Assetto Corsa Competizione is a bit above my current skill level. For me (and probably a lot of other enthusiasts like me) there are just too many variables which can make a car go round faster, but also slower. Toe, caster, rebound, differential preload: what do these terms mean? I have a vague idea of what they are, but how do they pertain to the performance of my car in different situations?! I was in dire need of some setup tips. In Assetto...

Design: Porsche 991 GT3 “Pink Pig”

After creating the Ferrari 488 GT3 I felt like doing more cars from the Blancpain field this way. One of the first to spring to mind was the Porsche, because of its iconic shape that hasn’t changed much over the past 50 odd years. Long did I doubt about the color to upload this in. First, I wanted to do an acid green color to resemble the Manthey Porsches. Ultimately, it was suggested I go with the iconic Pink Pig design which was used for Porsche’s 917/20 in the 70s....
